Hi!

I am a Christ follower blessed with a faith-filled husband, 2 incredible sons and so much more. God is so faithful! Being the only girl, I am always surrounded by hockey, baseball, football, muscle cars, loud noises, and all the wonderful things that make men who they are. But, I was born a girly-girl and like everything pink, frilly, and with jewelry and makeup added! Often I’ve felt as if my disjointed, but blessed lifestyle is overrun by testosterone! But, I have found that God is perfect and He knew the balance I needed ~ the perfect men in my pink-colored world: pigs in champagne!

Baby got an apron!!!

So I saw a post on FB and the girl used the faux Vera fabric from J's. She made an apron for her machine to keep her area tidy and her stuff from getting misplaced. I was inspired and since I had purchased some of that Vera fabric to make covers I decided to make the apron instead. It is HUGE and even though I measured correctly and the dimensions are accurate, it seems to "dip" a bit in the center. Not sure why but I don't care and I love it!!! I even made the binding! It came out perfect (in my eyes) and I am so proud of myself. LOL My Baby is happier now.

Envelope Cushion w/Red Shoe

So, I found a tute for envelope pillows. No zippers! Woo hoo! Had I known it was this simple I wouldn't have bought all those HL covers. I can get some nice canvas or home dec fabric affordable and make my one. That's what I did with this one. It is the first piece I have sewn from scratch and the first accent for my new sewing room. I am super happy with it. The applique uses the glitter sheets from HL. Love, love my shoe pillow! My next project will be the valance using the same fabric. Very chic!

Jingle All the Way Cushion

These Hobby Lobby blank pillow covers are great. But, I discovered the IKEA ones and they're even better! Will be working on a few of those soon. Regardless, here's a $2 HL cover that I embroidered for Christmas. Thinking I may add a bow with gold bells. It's a true red and the fabric is a faux silk. The only problem is that it's really thin so it puckered a bit. Still, it looks very festive and the stitching is gorgeous. Great design.

Another Mickey Pumpkin

Maria was in Disney but saw me post the Mickey pumpkin towel and asked me to make her one but for the kitchen! Here is my interpretation:

Thanksgiving Mickey

I realized I had a cute Mickey applique that has a pumpkin top. I decided to make a guest bath towel for my sister. I know Zachary will love it. It was so quick and easy to make.  I decided to add a little humor instead of the traditional, "Happy Thanksgiving"!
