Hi!

I am a Christ follower blessed with a faith-filled husband, 2 incredible sons and so much more. God is so faithful! Being the only girl, I am always surrounded by hockey, baseball, football, muscle cars, loud noises, and all the wonderful things that make men who they are. But, I was born a girly-girl and like everything pink, frilly, and with jewelry and makeup added! Often I’ve felt as if my disjointed, but blessed lifestyle is overrun by testosterone! But, I have found that God is perfect and He knew the balance I needed ~ the perfect men in my pink-colored world: pigs in champagne!

Taylor's Fairy 1st Birthday Invites

A labor of love. That's all I can say about these invitations. I can't wait for Kristy to see them. I sure hope she loves them! And, a special kuddos to Maria and Teri who helped me out a lot. Maria even came on her day off to make sure I got them done. Now that's true friendship. All the details are below.

The invitation is our favorite fairy, Tinkerbell, who has been captured and placed inside a mason jar. The base of the card is white cardstock and a layer of vellum "seals" Tinkerbell inside the jar. Pixie dust (glitter) is also locked inside with Tink  ;)

The label reads: "Taylor's Fairy 1st Birthday and was printed on glitter cardstock then cut out with a steel die that looks like a banner. Bling finishes off the ends.

Here's our Tink. I used the Cricut to cut out the Tinkerbells in cream. Then, I recut her dress and wings. The dress is green cardstock and embossed. The wings were cut in shimmer paper then also embossed. I colored her pouty lips (she has her arms crossed because she's upset she got captured LOL) in a soft pink. And her hair has various cuts to give her dimension. I chose this particular Tinkerbell because she has her arms folded - an obvious sign of displeasure! LOL

The tag with the information to Pixie Hollow! I attached them with a flower brad and used a lace edge punch to soften the bottom of the tag.

The mason jar top was embossed and then chalked with a lilac shimmer. Soooo cute! I sealed the jar with lilac dimensional silk trim.

My favorite part of these invitations! The sewing!!! I attached the vellum to the base using green thread. I sewed all invitations so the pixie dust (glitter) could not escape and so that the Tinkerbell could move around inside without any adhesive. Plus, the sewing allowed the vellum to attach beautifully without any type of glue showing. Perfection!

Even the back looks gorgeous! So clean. I love when the entire project looks good.

Another picture of the finished invitation. I hope all the recipients are charmed when they see it.

Can't forget the envelopes! I embossed Tinkerbell on the front:

Little Taylor will have the most magical first birthday. Can't wait!!!
