Friday I had a Stampin' Up party and that got me into a card-making mood. Doesn't hurt that I don't work Monday so I can really play! I tried some products I hadn't used before and learned alot! Since I use my blog to maintain a file of my creations, I am including two cards I made a few weeks ago that I forgot to post.
#1 Kat/Payo's Anniversary card:
If the Imagine was any easier it would make the cards and layouts for me!!! This is from Kate's Kitchen and all I did was print/cut as layers. I spritzed the cupcake toppers (the additional layer that prints out) with Tsukineko's Shimmer Spritz. Stuff works awesome ~ unlike another one you'll see farther down. LOL I should have put each cupcake on an action wobble but I forgot. Nevertheless, too cute and I am sure at least Kat will like it.
#2 First Damask Decor Card
When I saw that this new cartridge was on sale at ACM I ran to get it!!! It is absolutely gorgeous. If you can believe it, this card is ONE cut: the card feature of one of the damasks. All I did was add ribbon, stamp and emboss a rooster onto a circle punch, cuttlebug the blue punch, and add some bling. This cart will have endless possibilities! Much to my dismay, this cart is so new the I didn't recognize it. So, I had to use ol' reliable E. She's a troopper! The cuts are not as clean as the I but beautiful nonetheless.
#3 Another Easy Imagine Card
Again, nothing but the I!!! I stamped a quick sentiment and used glass accents on the marshmallows. Oh, action wobbled the coffee pot LOL looks like it's pouring coffee whenever you move it!
#4 Just playing around! I love just using my toys for fun. I had no specific person(s) in mind when creating these but I love the images and just wanted to play. Here are the results:
#5 MISTAKEN use of a product. UGH.
This card was coming out beautiful. It is one of the designs on the Best Friends Imagine cartridge. All I did was select the image, choose the size, select layers and hit print/cut. It did all the printing/cutting/layering perfectly. I was done in under 5 minutes, including adding the pop-dots! I was going to add ribbon and a sentiment but thought, "Let me try that $7 bottle of Glimmer Mist." I WISH I HADN'T. That stuff isn't translucent like the shimmer from Tsukineko. It is opaque and there are ugly blotches of white stuff all over my card. Not only that, it covered and made my card look dirty. Now I am just going to throw it out. I posted this to remind myself never to use that stuff again. UGH.
Off to stamp and color with Copics! Woo Hoo!!!
Hi!
I am a Christ follower blessed with a faith-filled husband, 2 incredible sons and so much more. God is so faithful! Being the only girl, I am always surrounded by hockey, baseball, football, muscle cars, loud noises, and all the wonderful things that make men who they are. But, I was born a girly-girl and like everything pink, frilly, and with jewelry and makeup added! Often I’ve felt as if my disjointed, but blessed lifestyle is overrun by testosterone! But, I have found that God is perfect and He knew the balance I needed ~ the perfect men in my pink-colored world: pigs in champagne!
