My mom is going to be celebrating her 75th birthday in a few days. I wanted to make her a special card that showcased one of her favorite things. Well, at the top of her list is sewing. So, I made her this easel card and I focused on the sentiment by adding a hand-made flower. The circles were cut on the Imagine and I flood-filled the second largest with the same background paper I used for the base of the card (Imagine More cart). The circles were also distressed, inked, and scrunched before I put them together with the center brad. The dress form is from French Manor and I also flood-filled with a light brown. Then, I darkened some areas with dark brown ink. I added a bit of lace, a pearl button, a leaf stick-pin, and mounted it all on a Nestabilities frame. The buttons play along with the theme and are the stoppers for the easel top. Of course, just about everything is pop-dotted. LOL She loves greens and browns which is the reason for this color combo. I hope she likes it and it is also my entry into the Cricut Circle weekly blog contest.
Hi!
I am a Christ follower blessed with a faith-filled husband, 2 incredible sons and so much more. God is so faithful! Being the only girl, I am always surrounded by hockey, baseball, football, muscle cars, loud noises, and all the wonderful things that make men who they are. But, I was born a girly-girl and like everything pink, frilly, and with jewelry and makeup added! Often I’ve felt as if my disjointed, but blessed lifestyle is overrun by testosterone! But, I have found that God is perfect and He knew the balance I needed ~ the perfect men in my pink-colored world: pigs in champagne!
